Meet our newest addition! Baby Ira, born at home on the morning of September 30th. He is a delight and we are all smitten with him. Thank you to everyone who has been so generous in making us meals and treats and providing amazing support in other ways. And also for being so darned excited about his arrival.
Mole (Mo-lay) has got to be one of my favourite sauces of all time. It has a special flavour that is completely unique to Mexico and is the perfect balance of salty, sweet, sour and bitter. I have very fond memories as a child of eating turkey in mole sauce during very special occasions.

I have to thank my fabulous neighbours for introducing me to these delicious cheesy poofs. These cheese balls are best when eaten a few minutes after they come out of the oven, however, my son still loves them a few hours later in his school lunch. The dough can be made in advance and frozen into balls ready to be baked from frozen when needed.
